  personality   Usually dropping her formal tribal honorific, Sedai's personality can range from warm and cheerful to focused and aggressive, depending on what she's doing or who she is dealing with - and this shift can change on a dime. People get from her what they give her - friendly begets friendly, rudeness will earn them the same. Violence, however, will bring on fierce, unbridled retaliation - and the former tribal huntress is certainly not without skill when it comes to battle. Very occasionally, Sedai can be found in a melancholic mood, reflecting on her past and the many trials she had suffered through during her time in the small offshoot of the larger A tribe.

  appearance   Blessed with generous curves and a soft body, A'sedai is generally underestimated in combat situations... but there's muscle under all the lush femininity - and her opponents often find themselves surprised when she strikes with shockingly powerful force behind it. Crowned in gold, with bright eyes to match, the Seeker's resting face can seem stern, severe - but once she smiles, she lights the entire room. While she still keeps her old tribal clothing, nowadays she prefers more modern styles. While in the city, she usually only carries a couple of daggers, but when she goes out into greater Thanalan, she always carries both her spear and her bow. notably, as well, she carries a few scars - bite marks from male Seekers, marks of ownership. She has one on the nape of her neck and one on her inner thigh, both from A'Targos, one on her throat and one on her calf from S'Kelah, one on her back up near her shoulder and, more recently, two more - a twin on the other side of her back, and one on the opposite calf, all from A'Taris.

A'Sedai was born to a tiny offshoot of the larger A tribe, deep in the Sagolii Desert in Thanalan. One night, just after twilight, a Nuhn and his warband of Tias attacked, killing the elderly Nunh and violently overtaking their previously peaceful tribe. A'Targos Nunh was a cruel, aggressive, abusive Miqo'te, often leaving the women of the tribe battered and terrified. Sedai took it upon herself to patch them up afterwards with her knowledge of field medicine, but she was powerless to soothe the mental anguish he had caused. Sedai had her own firsthand experiences with A'Targos as well, so while she could empathize with the others, she could do nothing to stop it.It was after A'Targos left one of the Tias - Sedai's secret lover A'Taris - for dead, impaled on his own sword, that Sedai finally found the courage to act. A'Targos moved the tribe that morning to a different region of the Sagolii and that night, in the middle of camp, she called out to him, challenging him to a fight to the death. The Nunh could hardly believe her sheer audacity, but picked up his spear nevertheless. His fatal flaw was in not taking her seriously and the fight was over before it hardly began, concluding with the end of Sedai's spear thrust through his chest and throat. He died in the bloody sand there - and chaos erupted, as Tias scrambled for the chance to claim the Nunh title and leadership of the small tribe. Alas, none of them proved to have the mettle to do so and the entire tribe destabilized, with the members scattering to the winds.Satisfied that A'Targos was dead, but distraught at losing her tribe entirely because of her actions, Sedai made her way to Ul'dah. Finding a rickety boarding house just on the outskirts of the city that housed displaced tribal Miqo'te, she claimed a room there for herself but stayed there as little as possible. Many of the occupants were troubled or manic, thievery abounded and there were little privacy. Thus, much of her time was spent in the city proper, adjusting to an entirely new way of life. She took leves from the Adventurer's Guild and ran courier, and hunted - all of which she continues to this day.

A'Taris Tia and A'sedai Tyatu met when A'Targos Nunh raided Sedai's tribe and killed the current Nunh. The Tia, who'd come with A'Targos along with the rest, was reckless and overly bold, often getting in trouble for not following orders. From the moment he laid eyes on Sedai, though, it was love at first sight - and although he was only a Tia and thus forbidden to bed any of the tribe women, he risked it all to sneak in her tent at least a dozen times and lavish her with affection. Tragically, he was caught by A'Targos one of these times and speared through the shoulder with his own blade. A'Targos moved the tribe the next morning, taking Sedai with him, and leaving A'Taris to die. Sedai was convinced that he had, so when he showed up Ul'dah years later, she was shocked. She was even more stunned to hear him echo the last words he'd said to her in the Sagolii - that he loved her, still.

S'Kelah Tia

S'Kelah was already a resident at the hostel when A'Sedai arrived, fresh from the Sagolii. Brash, aggressive and strong enough to have established himself as top dog in the Tia pecking order, he immediately decided to claim Sedai for himself... but the new arrival was not having it. She was free now that she wasn't in a tribe anymore; she didn't have to suffer the whims of Nunhs or Tias and she made him well aware of it. He ignored her, dragging her to her new room. They both drew blades and fought, but in the end, S'Kelah triumphed - and enjoyed his 'prize' all night long, with Sedai's reluctant consent. Despite her constantly pushing him off, Sedai found herself in bed with S'Kelah many more nights over the years, if only to soothe the sting of loneliness from losing her tribe (well, that, and he was great in bed). When she left the hostel, she did so without so much as a goodbye - but he hunted her down and their 'relationship', as it was, continues to this day.

A new acquaintance, Ganz happened upon Sedai on the fight bridge outside of Ul'dah, just after she'd won a spar. They conversed for a while and discovered that they had something in common - Ganz was the newest instructor at the Colosseum, and A'Sedai was a fighter for the same. Their afternoon continued into lunch at the Quicksand, then a leisurely outing to look at various properties since Ganz was looking for his own space. Finding one he liked, their time culminated with falling into bed with one another, spending hours in each other's arms and, when they were finished, Sedai left the Xaela sleeping, stealing his shirt to take with her. Interested in exploring the potential this new entanglement presented, she hopes to see the sweet man again soon.
